Be A Sponsor - Transform The Future

A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY

Today over 60 million girls do not have access
to a basic education. Here is what your contribution can buy:

$7 is the cost of materials for one child per school
year in Burundi. The cost includes exercise books,
pencils, and pens. Source: UNICEF in Burundi.

$19 buys free meals at school for one girl
for a year. Source: UNICEF in Iran.

$54 is the cost of supplies and materials for
one teacher per school year in Togo. The cost
    includes 14 boxes of chalk; one geometric kit;
and reading, language, and arithmetic books
    Source: UNICEF in Togo.

$400 is the cost of materials for a class of 50
children per school year in Djibouti. The cost
includes exercise books, slates, chalks, pencils,
pens, paper, and geometric sets ($330), plus a
geometric kit and duplicating materials for the
    teacher ($70). Source: UNICEF Djibouti.

Education plays a crucial role in solving some of the
most complex problems facing any nations, including
the spread of HIV/AIDS, poverty, and civil conflict.
Programs supported by UNICEF that give girl's the
opportunity to attend school help open the doors to
education for both girls and boys of all ages, and can
have an impact for generations to come.
